I posted awhile ago about how James loves the word "mine". He still says it a lot and thinks that most things around the house are his. James yelling "mine" is actually a source of entertainment and now I think he says it because its funny.
Well, the other day, Adam and James were practicing counting. Adam or I will say a number (or letter or color) and James will repeat it. Well, every time they got to the number nine, James would get upset. We weren't sure what was going on, but he'd get this upset face and grab the mini books that they were counting. After a few rounds of counting to ten and James getting mad, we realized that he thought Adam was saying "mine" and not "nine". So Adam repeated nine a few times, really enunciating the NNN sound. James didn't quite figure out what Adam was saying, so the counting was fairly short lived that evening. I'm not sure how we're going to differentiate between the two words, but I suppose we will figure something out.
Interesting dilemma..."mine" vs. "nine.". You might have a problem with the seagull scene in "Finding Nemo."
